Team News
Lucknow Super Giants: Head coach Justin Langer confirmed that young pacer Mayank Yadav won’t take further part in this year’s IPL.
LSG suffered another injury blow in their previous game as left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan landed awkwardly on his head while fielding and had to be substituted out of the match.
In case Mohsin misses out, Yudhvir Singh Charak might take his place in the XI.
Lucknow Super Giants could go with Arshin Kulkarni or Yash Thakur as their Impact Sub.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Jaydev Unadkat (if batting first) and Sanvir Singh (if bowling first) could be their Impact Sub options.

Preview
An inconsistent Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) would be keen to get back to winning ways when they host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), who are also in a similar position on the points table (12 points after 11 matches), at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Wednesday (May 8).
SRH suffered a seven-wicket defeat in Mumbai where they failed to put a big total on the board, batting first. The Pat Cummins-led side struggled against the movement initially at the iconic Wankhede and as they tried to take down their lone spinner, Piyush Chawla, they lost wickets in a cluster. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma looked scratchy during their 56-run opening stand. Jasprit Bumrah removed Abhishek while Head departed, trying to clear the square-leg fence off Chawla. At one stage, it looked like SRH would struggle to cross the 150-run mark as they were reduced to 136 for eight in 17 overs. However, a cameo from captain Pat Cummins, who remained unbeaten on 35 off 17, took the visitors to 173 for eight.
In reply, Mumbai Indians started poorly, losing the top three without much runs on the board but Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma steadied the ship for the hosts and then counterattacked. Suryakumar brought up his second IPL century while Tilak remained unbeaten on 37. The Mumbai batter got to the milestone with a maximum.
Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), on the other hand, were humbled by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their previous fixture. After opting to bowl, LSG bowlers failed to stop KKR openers as they stitched a 61-run opening stand inside 5 overs. Phil Salt was dismissed for 32 off 14 but Sunil Narine carried on smashing the LSG bowlers. He scored 81 runs off just 39 deliveries. Cameos from skipper Shreyas Iyer and Ramandeep Singh propelled KKR to a mammoth total of 235 for six.
In reply, LSG captain KL Rahul struggled to get the big shots away and only managed to score 25 off 21. Marcus Stoinis was the only other notable contributor for Lucknow with the bat as he made 36 off 21. Harshit Rana and Varun Chakaravarthy took three wickets apiece as LSG were bundled out for 137, giving KKR a huge win by 98 runs.
With both teams tied at 12 points after 11 matches, a loss here could affect their chances of making it to the playoffs.
